I ain't gonna be just a face in the crowd, you're gonna hear my voice when I shout it out loud.

Omg a very very overdue post! I completely forgot about it until well, till I was looking around my albums and remembered that I haven't posted anything about this on my blog.

Two weeks ago, I got the chance to work along the people who organized the Japan Super GT race in Malaysia, which was obviously held in the F1 Circuit in Sepang. Worked as the Japanese translator/interpreter for the entire event which lasted for 3 days.

Day 1: Race Practice

My uniform!

The awesome view of the track from the HQ office.

Needless to say, it was easy to acquire a good view of the entire race without the need to join the hassle in the crowd at the Grandstand with food and chilled drinks :)

The Media Center, where all the media people are stationed at.

Practicing.

Day 2: Qualifying Race

Started the morning by helping abit here and there since I was rather free.

Meet Galvin, who was kind enough to walk around the entire place with me to paste these soft boards.

I swear, the place is huge. I'm pretty sure those who have actually been to the Sepang race track would know how far of a walk the entire place is - and this includes the Paddock area. Crazy walk.

A rather cmi picture of us but yeah.

Galvin and I sabo-ed a buggy and went around driving it, which saved so much of walking for us! As jackoon as it might sound, it was my first time driving a buggy. It felt like driving a bumper car, really. And since then, we've been driving that buggy for 2 consecutive days till we got so sick of it we'd rather walk (wtf).

For some reasons, this reminds me of Fast & Furious haha.

One of the cars in the car show. There were so many cars ranging from your usual Ferrari, Porsche, Lambo, Vespa, Harley's, to even Rolls Royce (I felt like a low life, really).

Met Yvonne who was also working there. It's been so long since I've last seen her!

(Excuse my cmi face please. It's the FHM GND last year, you can't blame me for looking ugly next to her)

This, is a small part of the ultimate long queue waiting to enter for the pitwalk.

Here's a little anal thing I'd like to share. Galvin and I were so bored we decided to piss people off by just walking in while everyone else was still waiting. Just because we had the all access pass which enabled us to enter wherever and whenever we want. What asses we were seriously (lol).

Day 3: The Actual Race

Clearly, this is the real deal but by this time, our ears were half deaf already for obvious reasons. My left eardrum was literally hurting on the third/last day already.

This, is something I found really cool.

Before the race started, there was a gathering of super cars for the Malaysian Book of Records and it reached a total number of 405 super cars on the track. I have never ever seen so many super cars all gathered in one place in the past 20 over years of my life - and man, it was bloody awesome even for a non-car person like me.

One of the snapshots taken from the track during the gathering (all thanks to the access pass nonetheless).

The deafening race.

Meet Ayami, the Japanese GT Queen who I was suppose to be doing translating for also.

She is super super cute omg! Haha now I sound like one of those fangirls. And please excuse my cmi face yet again.

The Smelly came to visit too! :D

Fortunately, I managed to catch the very beautiful sunset in Sepang right when the entire event ended. I felt so lucky at that moment.

Yeap, that concluded my entire weekend back then. The whole routine of waking up at 5am (on a bloody weekend!) and only sleeping around 12am for three consecutive days. Not complaining though. It was a great experience anyone could have at this age and I'm happy that I managed to be exposed to events as such. It's really different from attending the race for the fun of it.

And lastly, a vain self pic to conclude the post :)

Hee!

I just wanna dance, I don't really care.

Drove up to Penang for the weekend for cuz Mom wanted to go on a trip for her birthday. Left on Friday (25th March) and came home on Sunday night. For the first time, the trip home was longer than the trip there. You know, the weird feeling that the journey home is somehow always shorter than the journey to.

We were there for 3 days 2 nights, but it rained most of the time. The first day we reached, it was really cloudy, but at least we still managed to take a walk by the beach and swam for a bit. As for the second day, it was our whole day in the hotel room! It was raining cats and dogs from morning till night (yes, from before we woke up till we slept)

Mom & I

Mom & her footprints lol.

By the beach hee!

The stay there was quite enjoyable actually. Like, it's good to have a change in environment once in a while. Somewhere different from town. But well, driving in Penang really sucks. Especially when it's raining.

Sixty9ine Mansion

It isn't really clear here in the picture, but this place is not bad actually. We initially wanted to go to Sunset Bar, which was the infamous beach bar in Batu Ferengghi. When we asked, it was burnt down not long ago apparently (wtf). And fortunately, we fumbled on this bar!

Their concept was pretty cool I must say. It's a normal club/bar from the inside, but they have an outdoor area too. It's divided into many parts. One part being the one on the beach, one being on top of a podium overlooking the entire beach. Then they had one which had seats in the pool. You literally have to lie on your back on the seat. And the other is the one in the picture. They place their tables and chairs in the middle of the pool. So you still have to get wet while drinking, but at least you don't have to lie on your back heh.

Should really give it a try if any of you readers (if I still have any) do pop by Batu Ferrenghi.

The huge statue of the Goddess of Mercy @Kek Lok Si Temple

Since we couldn't do much on a rainy day, we stayed in. The next day, we took a trip to the Toy Museum before we started our journey home.

Apparently, it's the world's largest Toy Museum and it costs like RM 10 per entry for Malaysians (RM 20 for non-Malaysians). They really had a whole collection of toys there, from every genre, every country and every movie you can think of! First they had some Chinese and Japanese porcelain dolls and of course, Barbie doll.

They even had human sized figurines likes this!

Yes, Captain Jack Sparrow mi amour.

Kungfu Panda!

The only toy they didn't have was of Pepe le Pew by Looney Tunes. I was kinda disappointed actually cuz I was very much looking forward to having a look at their collection of Pepe le Pew as it is already discontinued.

I swear, I have at least 90% of the Sailormoon stuffs here.

Yes, I was a hardcore fan back then. Don't deny it, they were cool okay.

Bigger-than-human sized Spiderman.

and the collection of Spiderman goods.

This was one of my favourite spots!

Gotta love Meeko! My all time favourite character from Disney. Soooo cute and adorable!! He just looks so cheeky!

There were wayyyy too many toys in the Toy Museum so yeah, these are only basically the fews that I uploaded. Do check it out, really.

We decided to take the ferry to hit the highway instead of the Penang Bridge. So yeap, we were stuck in the long line of vehicles waiting for their rides.

During the ferry ride.

I love how the sky blended in this picture.

My favourite picture during the ferry ride.

So yeap, it was an enjoyable trip, minus some troublesome stuffs (such as rain) but nevertheless, it was all good. Yeap, it's been so long since I've posted a blogpost with vast amount of pictures. So I'm hoping that you guys are enjoying it!

I shall end this post with a vain self portrait of yours truly,

Complete pictures of Penang trip on Facebook. Have fun reading :)

We stick together and can see it through cuz you've got a friend in me.

Two of my closest friends flew off (again) in one week. Xin came back from Brisbane (lucky she wasn't carried away by the flood) for only 12 days and LiHong came back for a month (but I hardly got to see her due to you know what reasons if you know her well enough or have tried to ask her out).

Managed to spend some time with them and seriously, time never seemed to be enough whenever we're all together. It's like we have endless stories to tell about the universe and we spend half of the time laughing about god knows what. Chingy, if you're reading this, we really wished you were back here sitting with us making those random conversations out of nowhere - or randomly whacking one of us (though it is usually LiHong).

A rather screwed up picture of the three of us but whatever :D

Hopefully everyone will be back again during June, cuz it feels so great to have your closest friends back with you (physically) all over again. APL is going over to celebrate Mia's birthday this year. We had such a great celebration last year boo :(

I guess time and distance didn't pull us apart, despite everyone being scattered in different parts of the world and the fact that we don't talk to each other everyday. When we meet, it feels like we've just spoken to one another the day before. Everything catches up on its own accord and this is what makes friends awesome - true ones that is :)

On a totally unrelated note, I've finally watched Toy Story 3!! I know I know, I'm a late bloomer and all that shit, but I almost cried. Kinda felt as if Andy was leaving me behind like how he had to leave behind his toys too in the end. So emo! Definitely one of the best animated trilogy ever :D

Till whenever :)

I've found a reason for me to change who I used to be.

A super overdued post.

Hmmm, about 2 weeks ago, the Cousin and I decided to check out the very much talked about bakery in KL - LeVain Boulangerie Patisserie.

After a 10 minutes drive, we were there. At first we were rather worried about the parking there and wow, they had a jockey service for only RM 2! It was around lunch hour when we reached so the place was quite packed and there were many people (mostly youngsters) standing at the front door, all snapping pictures of their visit.

The counter.

They had a variety of pastries to choose from and of course they had simple food like salad and pasta from RM 9.90 only. (The prices of the pastries vary of course).

The menu.

Our food!

The danish one with berries on top is awesome! They had caramel filling inside and the best thing is, it isn't too sweet.

And this, was the most awesome buy - Turkey Ham & Egg.

Fawesome!

A very comfortable and relaxing environment just nice for some drinks while chilling around with friends/family.

Overexposed.

Oh yeah, they have a great variety of macaroons there too :)

After lunch, we decided to drive over to Pavilion to shop (cuz we had nothing better to do). Hoho, a mere 5 minutes drive!

The obligatory take-reflection-of-self-at-toilet-mirror photo.

Finally updated with some "life" in my blog hahaha wtf. So yeah. Hopefully there will be more posts as such soon haha. (Sorry to end the post so abruptly because yeah, I got lazy typing already boo).

Toodles!

You ought to know by now how much I love you.

I have a confession to make. I have been ultimately lazy to update my blog, I don't know why. As usual, nothing much have been going on lately, except for some catching up on some movies and my birthday dinner!

Well, it was just a simple dinner among some friends and some drinks after that. On the 15th, we had dinner at d'italiene Kitchen at Sunway Giza. That place was awesome! Well, I'm biased. Because they had cheese. A whole load of cheese in each of their dishes. And I'm pretty sure that everyone who knows me well enough would know that I'm one hell of a cheese lover.

That day was seriously a cheese overload day, literally. I have been so stuffed with cheese the entire day from day to night. Smelly and I decided to have something light for lunch so we had Subway for lunch. Well, me being me, my Subway had extra cheese. After lunch, I insisted to make a move to Theobroma Chocolate Lounge for their vanilla sundae.

A little bit too milky, but it was all good :)

What I didn't know was that Smelly ordered a slice of blueberry cheese. I swear, I almost puked trying to finish that one slice of cake with him. We were that full.

So alright, it was dinner time then... and I ordered this! :D

Baked Three Cheese

Wahahahaha. Three types of cheese baked with penne. It was orgasmic I tell you. Smelly ordered some chicken platter thing (which had cheese of course), King ordered another cheesy beef steak thingy... well, everyone's dish had cheese. End of story.

Okay, before I start spamming this post with pictures, here's a short note. Mind the bad quality of the pictures. It'll appear blurrish and grainy because these were all taken by the phone camera (because my camera screen is still very much dead) and some were even taken with the front camera, which kinda worsens the quality. So yeah.

The one and only picture which the Smelly actually gave a normal face.

Don't ask. He loves to make stupid faces the minute pictures are shot just for the sake of annoying me and spoiling the picture. Ass.

The King & his Minion.

Sigh, apparently I'm his minion .___________. And yeah, we seem like we're having the same expression in this picture wtf haha.

The Cousin and Anthony :D

Eric Chan! My partner in being lifeless and watching almost every single show on earth.

He was early this time and actually turned up! We're so proud of him. And here's a gay convo we had that night:

Me: "Why your face so chau tut when we take pictures? Forever one kind."

Eric: "It's my good angle."

Wtf hahaha.

Imran looking freakishly happy.

Then there was my cake! It was a surprise actually, but well, I guess the waitress kinda spoiled it haha.

The very very awesome cheese cake. Like omfg awesome.

Yes, it's cheese again. Then we went on to the Beer Factory for some drinks after dinner cuz it was still early. Being the norm, we played Circle of Death again heheh.

Pei Ling!! This is for youuuu!!!

*puts thumb on forehead*

Psst! Imran sucks at this game. It's very fun to play with him hahaha.

Meet my buddy Seannn!!! :3

Mmm and that's about it. An enjoyable night. A big fat thanks to all those who made it awesome that night :)

Oh, and did I mention that I watched Harry Potter 7 already?? Wahahaha sorry peeps, I admit I'm a huge HP freak. Dragged Smelly to buy tickets for the midnight show on the 17th because I felt kiasu. Because I wanted to watch it before the world watches it (Well, technically not the world but yeah, you get what I mean).

A very random shot

Because I wanted to take a picture to commemorate the moment before watching the movie (wtf yes, I know). And that is Smelly's very annoyed face because he was trying to recall something but failed because I'm constantly annoying him with the camera.

So after watching the show, we were still talking about Harry Potter. (Yeah, I remember mentioning that I'm a HP freak) And Smelly's quite a closet HP freak. So we were talking about some trivia this was how the conversation went.

"There's this question, it's damn cb. Cuz it's almost impossible to answer."

"Oh please. I definitely know the answer. Unlike you."

"What is Professor Trelawney's mother's name?"

"So easy. Of course I know."

"What?"

"Mrs. Trelawney, duh."

Haha I swear, that moment he kicked me in the ass, literally hahaha.

As for those who are wondering what her mother's name was, it is Pauline Trelawney. Yes, I secretly went home and Google-d it and then pretending I finally recalled the answer and told Smelly. He didn't buy it, obviously.

Yeap. That was how that one day of the year went about. And yeah, I am finally legal :D
